Release 6.1.2.0 of the SAP PLM Integrations for AutoCAD and Inventor is now available

Release 6.1.2.0 of the SAP PLM Integrations for AutoCAD and Inventor is now available from the SAP Servicemarketplace .
The 6.1.2.0 version supports AutoCAD 2012 and Inventor 2012 and offers a number of new features that will offer improved productivity for the user. Working with the integration has been made even more comfortable than ever. The new product release incorporates numerous customer requests. Here is a brief extract of the new capabilities:

SAP PLM Inventor-Integration:
Support of Inventor 2012 in 32 und 64 Bit respectively.
The appearance of the SAP Pane has been greatly extended. Resolution of the display of structures can now be set more flexibly. The general performance of the SAP Pane as well as the mapping of SAP data in drawing and component parts lists has been enhanced significantly. Additional new functions (sample list):

SAP PLM Integration for Autodesk Inventor
  • Improved linking of virtual components to SAP materials
  • Optional creation of animated GIF data, e.g. as a preview in Open-Dialog
  • Improved creation of neutral formats by using Translators with a complete set of parameters
  • Automated administration of additional files, for instance files that are created as part of a load analysis


SAP PLM AutoCAD-Integration:
Support of AutoCAD 2012 in 32 und 64 Bit respectively.
The installation of the integration for the different versions of AutoCAD, such as AutoCAD Electrical, Plant3D/P&ID or AutoCAD Architecture, has been automated. Neutral formats can now be created much more easily, using a broad range of new configuration features. For users with operating system Windows 7, the support of UAC (User Access Control) has been enhanced. In addition, a number of customer requests have also been incorporated in the new release.

The SAP PLM Integration for AutoCAD now contains the Function volume of CIDEON AutoCAD Integration for SAP EAM: To support the complete life cycle of an installation, installation structures can be directly created in the SAP maintenance component (PM) from within AutoCAD or linked to existing PM structures.

This establishes a bi-directional connection of individual AutoCAD objects (blocks) with their related SAP objects (Functional Location / Equipment) and enables graphical support of the maintenance processes in a later operation of the installation.The integration with all its new features is available to all current customers at no additional cost.
