CAD data migration generally leads to timeconsuming manual importing processes, out of and into the SAP PLM system. When updating the CAD version all existing data models usually have to be recalculated and this data has to be additionally filed in the SAP Contentserver without changing the existing data stock. Here the consistency also is to be observed and the continuous recalculation of all individual parts and assemblies of a CAD model is to be assured. Dependencies between the CAD files are of course taken into account within the process.

Along with this recalculation of the CAD models, the demand for an automatic processing of CAD documents is another important aspect. The data extracted from the SAP PLM can be postprocessed within a pile. The documents are for example stamped as required, existing headings are exchanged or parts of the headings are updated. A conversion into neutral formats can also be carried out.
